Our Client Service Approach

Our intake process ensures that our firm can represent new clients zealously without taking any time from our existing clients.   After the initial intake interview, an initial consultation appointment shall be made, typically last one to two hours.  During the initial consultation, the firm's lawyers will begin to gain an understanding of your case,  your concerns, and the legal issues that must be addressed.
After we have decided to work together, you will sign a retainer agreement (contract) that provides the parameters our representation and details of our obligations to each other.  This is an important document and the beginning of our formal representation of you.
From the very beginning of our representation, our attorneys work with you to understand your needs, inform and educate you about the issues and nuances of your case, and to guide you through every step of the legal process.  The relationship we build with every client is predicated upon on our responsiveness to each client's unique situation and needs, the direct and clear advice we provide, and the results we deliver.  Years of experience allow us intimately understand the legal and emotional aspects of family law issues.
Dictated by the needs of your case,  the lead partner in your case will immediately begin in the initial consultation to assess your needs and commence building a team of cost-effective professionals within DeLacey, Riebel & Shindell to serve you immediately after being retained.  Additionally, you and your lead counsel may decide to utilize one or more of the many trusted outside professionals such as forensic accountants, child custody experts, or vocational evaluators (to name a few) as required.
Your cooperation, responsiveness and truthfulness with our team will be required in order to make the representation as successful as possible.  DeLacey, Riebel & Shindell will need information from you about the various aspects of your case, including but not limited to providing financial and related documents. Our team will assist you in obtaining all information you are required to provide per California law as well as additional information needed for a positive outcome.  Your ability and willingness to communicate with us and abide by the terms of our retainer agreement will be a crucial aspect of the success of your case.
